The Government of Yukon is developing a legislative framework and other supports for victims of non-consensual disclosure of intimate images. We’re using the feedback received during this engagement to help shape and propose solutions. Key themes from the engagement included:

  • protection of personal privacy;
  • flexible options that provide victims with some choice as they navigate the justice system; and
  • clear pathways of support for victims of all ages.
What was this engagement about? 

We asked Yukoners to share their thoughts or experience with non-consensual disclosure of intimate images. We also asked how victims could be better supported by Yukon laws.

How will my input make a difference?

The responses we received will inform changes to help: 

  • victims feel supported by the justice system; and 
  • close gaps in services.
