Starting this year, families must register their students online for school bus service for the 2025–26 school year by visiting yukon.ca/bus. All students must register each year for busing.
The deadline to register is July 1. Registering by this date ensures that bus routes are planned to meet students’ needs and are posted online before the start of the new school year. It also ensures eligible students receive a bus assignment. Late registrations lead to more route adjustments once the school year begins.
Students are eligible for the school bus if they live more than 3.2 kilometres by the nearest passable road from their school and they are attending their attendance area school.
Whitehorse high school students can choose to register for the school bus or for a city bus pass, but cannot register for both. City bus pass registration will open in mid-June.
Rural families should continue to contact their school directly for busing options.
