Government of Yukon launches 2025 online camping reservation service dates

The Government of Yukon has announced the reservation service dates for the 2025 camping season. This online system is designed to provide campers with a seamless and convenient experience when planning their trips in the Yukon’s stunning outdoor spaces.

Key dates to remember:

  • March 5, 2025 Backcountry campsite reservations opened.
  • April 1, 2025 Online annual and daily campground permit sales begin.
  • April 9, 2025 (9 am YST) Frontcountry campsite reservations will be available. Campers can preview available sites before the official reservation date to assist with their planning.
  • May 9 to October 1, 2025 Frontcountry camping season will be operating.
  • June 27 to September 8, 2025 Tombstone Territorial Park backcountry camping season will be open.

For the second consecutive year, online reservations will be available at Wolf Creek, Marsh Lake, Pine Lake and Tombstone Mountain frontcountry campgrounds. This online reservation service enhances convenience and ensures campers can secure their spots well in advance.

In response to feedback from Yukoners, annual permit holders will be able to reserve campsites for up to three nights this camping season at reservable frontcountry campgrounds, free of charge. This will allow annual permit holders to try the reservation service and get even more value from their permit. As of April 9, 2025, annual campground permit holders can make their reservations by calling 867-667-5648 from Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 4 pm.

Campers are encouraged to book early, as high-demand sites tend to fill up quickly. Reservations for both backcountry and frontcountry campgrounds can be made online at yukon.goingtocamp.com starting on the designated dates.

Today's announcement marks another important step in enhancing access to the Yukon’s wilderness for both Yukoners and visitors. The introduction of online reservations at select frontcountry campgrounds has proven successful and we are pleased to continue this initiative for the 2025 camping season. We continue to closely monitor feedback and usage to assess how we can further improve and expand these services to better meet the needs of all campers.

Minister of Environment Nils Clarke
