Taking care of the people who take care of us is critical. The Yukoners who make it their work to safeguard people, property and infrastructure are our best protection and greatest asset for emergencies. Thank you to Wounded Warriors Canada for providing enhanced mental health support to staff of the Emergency Measures Organization and Wildland Fire Management, along with their families.
Yukon EMS personnel provide critical care and emergency medical services across the territory, often in challenging circumstances. This partnership expands access to specialized supports that recognize the realities of trauma-exposed work and helps ensure responders and their families can access support when needed.
Given the complexities of traumatic event exposure, we know that no single organization can provide the 100 per cent solution when it comes to the psychological health and safety of its members and their families. Partnerships are vital. We are proud to announce this new partnership with Yukon EMS and look forward to working together in the months and years to come.
