The Government of Yukon has launched a new online portal to manage applications for economic development funding programs. The portal is designed to improve client experience and modernize programs and services.
The Community Development Fund Tier 2 will be the first program available in the new system. Applicants can use the new portal to apply to the upcoming September 15 intake. Feedback from this intake will be used for future improvements to the portal.
Further economic development funding programs will be added over time. This phased approach will allow staff to monitor feedback and make any necessary adjustments as programs are added. The Department of Economic Development will provide updates to clients as programs and streams become available in the system for online application.
The new system offers a secure online platform where applicants can easily submit applications, track progress and manage documents and communications – all in one place.
This shift is part of the Government of Yukon’s broader commitment to improve client service, reduce red tape and strengthen internal processes to support economic growth and development in the Yukon.

The next intake deadline for the Community Development Fund is September 15, 2025, for Tier 2 requests between $20,001 and $75,000.

At this time, Community Development Fund Tier 1 and Tier 3 requests will continue to be accepted through the standard application form. The department will update clients when these tiers are added to the system.

This new system will not include non-funding programs, such as Yukon immigration programming.
