Site description: 
  • There are campsites at both the upriver and downriver ends of this island, which are connected by a trail.
  • The Yukon River Thirty Mile section/Tágà Shäw Jädalį lies between Lake Laberge (Táaʼan Män) and the Teslin River (Délin Chú).
  • Designated a Canadian Heritage River in 1991.
  • Popular with canoeists. 
  • Shores have many historic sites from communities that serviced sternwheelers. 
  • Remains of the S.S. Evelyn sit on Shipyard Island at the end of The Thirty Mile.
