We want to hear from regulated and non-regulated health professionals, as well as the public, to help shape the modernization of the Health Professions Act. Share your feedback through an online survey or at an engagement session.

Health professionals

Can I provide feedback about the modernization of the Health Professions Act?

Yes, we're looking for feedback from all regulated health professionals in the Yukon. As professional experts, you can provide the feedback needed to help guide policy.

As part of the first phase of this project, we are gathering feedback from health professionals through an online survey and in-person sessions.

About the survey

  • Launch date: December 11, 2024.
  • Who developed it: The survey was created in partnership with MNP, an advisory firm.
  • Purpose: To gather feedback from all 14 groups of regulated health professionals in Yukon. The survey is designed around an umbrella legislation model, so some questions may appear general.

Email invitation

MNP sent email invitations to all licensed health professionals in Yukon. These emails include a link to take part in the survey.

What if I didn’t get an email invitation?

If you didn’t receive the survey email or need the link resent, contact us at [email protected], and we’ll provide you with a new link.

Is the survey relevant if my profession is regulated by its own Act?

Yes. We welcome feedback from all regulated health professionals in Yukon. The goal of modernizing the Health Professions Act is to bring all regulated professions under one statute.

Why did this email come from MNP?

MNP was hired by the Government of Yukon to manage this engagement. They will:

  • Collect survey feedback;
  • Host in-person engagement sessions; and
  • Provide a third-party review of all feedback.

A public Engagement Summary will be shared once the process is complete.

What about non-regulated health professionals?

We also want to hear from non-regulated health professionals. If you’re unregulated and want to take part, email [email protected] to receive a survey link specific to health professionals.

Can I offer feedback in person?

Yes, you can attend in-person engagement sessions in Whitehorse. Registration is required for all attendees. All licensed regulated health professionals in the Yukon will receive an invitation by email to register.

Public feedback

Will there be an opportunity for the public to offer feedback?

Yes. Revising the Health Professions Act includes creating a safe and accessible complaints process. Yukoners are encouraged to share their input.
