Psychiatric Outreach Program and Early Psychosis Intervention

POP-EPI

The Psychiatric Outreach Program (POP-EPI) provides comprehensive mental health care through a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to wellness. By using the expertise of psychiatry, nursing, social work and support services, the program offers support for individuals living with severe and persistent mental illnesses. The program delivers a variety of services, including: 

• case management;
• working with clients’ families and social supports;
• systems navigation;
• coordination with other agencies and healthcare providers;
• education about mental illness and treatment options;
• medication support,
• review and monitoring; and
• client psychoeducation and wellness groups and outreach support and life skills support.  

Programs are accessed by referrals only.

CAR 867

CAR 867 is program initiated in 2022 and is based in Whitehorse.  The program provides client centred, trauma informed responses to acute mental health situations.  You can access the program via 911 or 867-667-5555 (non urgent line), mental health calls are attended to by an RCMP member paired with a Mental Health Nurse. The program also offers onsite mental health assessments and referrals.
