Document description

The Territorial Police Service Agreement is a 20-year agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of Yukon. It establishes the RCMP “M” Division as our territorial police service. The agreement sets out the responsibilities and authority for the RCMP to act as our territorial police service and is cost shared at 30 per cent by Canada and 70 per cent the Yukon. The Department of Justice oversees the agreement and works to ensure the provision of a professional, accountable and appropriately funded territorial police service to respond to the priorities of Yukoners.
