The Good Energy Program offers rebates for Level 2 electric vehicle chargers installed at personal residences, commercial or multi-residential buildings and municipal or First Nation government-owned buildings.

For personal residences
Eligibility
Eligible chargers
We consider all dual-port charging stations to be 1 charging station for this rebate.
Eligible chargers must be:
- designated Level 2;
- 240 volt plug with output power between 3 kilowatt and 20 kilowatt; and
- WiFi enabled.
Eligible applicants
- Property owners with residences or buildings located in Yukon.
- Only 1 rebate per personal residence.
Rebate amount
50% of the purchase and installation costs up to a maximum of $750 for 1 charger at a personal residence. This includes:
- single detached homes;
- duplexes;
- triplexes; and
- mobile homes.
The rebate is based on costs related to the installation for:
- equipment;
- labour;
- electrical upgrades;
- construction; and
- contracting or professional expenses for upgrades to supporting infrastructure.

- Get an electrician to confirm if there's sufficient space for an electric vehicle charger on the electrical panel and service line to add an electric vehicle charger.
- Call your utility (ATCO Electric Yukon or Yukon Energy Corporation) to determine if a service upgrade is needed.
- Get a qualified electrician to complete the installation and get a copy of the electrical inspection report.

- Complete and sign the application form.
- Attach the required documents:
- copies of your receipts or invoices with no balance owing;
- specifications sheet of the charging station(s) installed; and
- a copy of your electrical inspection report.
- Submit your application to the Energy Branch.

Our multi-unit residential and commercial rebate covers:
- multi-unit residential buildings;
- apartments;
- commercial buildings;
- other work buildings; and
- institutional buildings, such as:
- churches;
- community centres; and
- buildings owned by societies.

75% of total costs up to a maximum of $7,500 per installed charger.

- construction; and
- contracting or professional expenses for upgrades to supporting infrastructure.

- Call your utility (ATCO Electric Yukon or Yukon Energy Corporation) to determine if a service upgrade is needed.
- Get a qualified electrician to complete the installation and get a copy of the electrical inspection report.
