As of Thursday, June 25, the student financial assistance portal is open to receive applications for the 2026–27 academic year.
Students must apply each year to receive financial assistance for their studies and are encouraged to apply early as applications are processed in the order they are received.
Students can apply for the following assistance through the online portal:
- Yukon Grant
- Student Training Allowance
- Yukon Excellence Award
- Canada Student Financial Assistance programs for full-time and part-time studies
- Yukon Health Care and Social Services Bursary
This is the first time the Yukon Health Care and Social Services Bursary can be applied for through the portal.
The portal is designed to help students easily navigate and apply to programs that best meet their individual needs and circumstances.
-
An academic year begins on August 1 of the current calendar year and ends on July 31 of the following calendar year.
-
Program funding application deadlines vary. Applying early means students can focus on their studies when they begin.
-
Students may be eligible for more than one of the funding programs listed. They can maximize the funding they apply for by learning more about each program.
-
The online portal provides students with the most efficient way to apply and monitor the progress of their funding applications. Paper applications can be made available upon request.
