Whitehorse school bus routes for the 2022-23 school year are now finalized and can be found online. School buses will be operating normally for the 2022-23 school year. Mask use is no longer mandatory but continues to be encouraged.
If you have registered your child for the bus, you will receive an email by the first week of August with their assigned bus route. If you do not receive an email by August 5, 2022, contact the Student Transportation Branch at student.transportation@yukon.ca or call 867-667-5172.
Late registration will be accommodated with existing bus routes. Follow the instructions on Yukon.ca.
Remember to keep your contact information up to date throughout the school year. Email student.transportation@yukon.ca if your contact information changes.
- August 22, 2022 is the first day of school for Whitehorse students. Rural schools start on different dates between August 18 and September 1, 2022.
- For the 2022-23 school year, 60 per cent of the bus routes have not changed from the previous school year.
- Rural parents and guardians should contact their school directly for busing options.
- Students will be provided with a school bus pass the first week of school that will include their school bus number. Students will be required to show their school bus pass when they get on the school bus for the first month.
