The combined departments of Economic Development and Tourism and Culture will now be known as the Department of Economy, Tourism and Culture.
There are no changes to departmental services, programs, staffing or points of contact as a result of this update. The new name will be updated in department materials in the coming months.
For clients, partners and stakeholders, day-to-day operations will remain unchanged and services and supports will be delivered as usual.

As of April 1, 2026, the departments of Economic Development and Tourism and Culture were merged into a single department operating under one organizational structure and budget.
