We are looking for an Open data project manager to join the eServices team. This is a unique position and the successful candidate will join our small, but mighty team of service delivery managers, web architects, forms designer, visual designers and our UX manager and Program manager. 

This is a term position to March 4, 2025 at an AR-18 level.

Open data manager job responsibilities

The Open data manager will be responsible for the following.

  • Create the vision and strategy for the evolution the government's Open data program.
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the government's Open government program and related projects.
  • Develop and maintain guidance for the Digital Service Delivery Guide to support the Open government program.
  • Define and measure data quality requirements to support various departments and 3rd party vendors in the migration of the government's data to our Open data site.
  • Oversee 3rd party vendors to manage their deliverables and budget.
  • Design the governance process for data acquisition, translation and loading (“ETL”) process.
  • Collaborate with department stakeholders and service owners to roll out the Open data program leveraging eServices platform capabilities and resources of our  branch.
  • Define, measure, report and provide post-launch guidance for continuous improvement of the Open data program and dataset updates.
  • Maintain productive and effective relationships with the stakeholders of the service.
