Report poachers and polluters

We’ve launched a service to give Yukoners another way to report poachers and polluters.

Until now, people could call the Turn in Poachers and Polluters (TIPP) line, contact a Department of Environment office or use our older online form. As we migrated this information from our old government website to Yukon.ca, we took the opportunity to enhance this service.

The new online service gives users another way to report illegal activity. It also gives them an opportunity to submit up to 3 photographs. If a user observes illegal activity, they can use their mobile device to take photographs on the scene and upload the images to support their report.

We’ve also designed this service to prompt the user to include important details in their report. These include:

  • the date the incident happened;
  • a description of the incident;
  • the community and location of the incident;
  • whether or not people were involved in the incident; and
  • if there were vehicles involved.

Including all of these details ensures conservation officers have the information they need to support their investigations.

Let us know what you think

Once we launch services, we monitor feedback so we can improve the user experience.

If you have any feedback, you can use the feedback form at the bottom of the Turn in poachers and polluters page on Yukon.ca or email eservices@gov.yk.ca.
