Requirements

Gas fitter

A license may be issued if you:

  • have complied with the Trades Qualifications Regulations and hold a Trades Qualification Certificate as a gas fitter; or
  • hold an equivalent certificate of competency from another jurisdiction and successfully complete the Yukon liquid propane addendum examination at Government of Yukon Department of Education for Apprenticeship and Tradesperson Qualifications.

Fill out and submit the gas fitter application form and provide fee depending on class of license

Gas contractor

A license may be issued if you:

  • Intend to engage in the business authorized by the license.
  • Furnish an insurance bond as required by the regulations.
  • Be a Yukon licensed gas fitter or employ a licensed gas fitter under the appropriate class of gas contractor license.

Fill out and submit Gas contractor application and submit fee depending on class of license.
