Yukon government launches new online form to update health care card information

The Government of Yukon has launched a new online form to make it easier for Yukoners to update their Yukon Health Care Insurance Plan information.

The new online form is available on Yukon.ca and lets residents securely update details such as their mailing address and other personal information, without needing to phone or visit an office. This new tool is part of the government’s work to improve health services and make it easier for Yukoners to manage their personal health information.

Over the past year, eligible Yukoners have received their new Yukon health care cards. These cards are valid for five years and no longer need yearly renewal stickers. New cards are sent out automatically when they expire. The new cards also include stronger security features to help prevent fraud. Current cards are valid without a photo.

The updated health care cards also support French‑speaking Yukoners. Residents can choose French as their preferred language of care, shown by an “FR” mark on the card. The cards support French and international characters, such as accents in names.

Yukoners are encouraged to ensure their health care card information, particularly their mailing address, is up to date. Keeping their information current helps avoid delays and maintains their access to health services.

Yukoners can update their information at Yukon.ca/health-care-card or by calling 867-667-5209. In-person service is available at the insured health services office in Whitehorse on the fourth floor of 204 Lambert Street or through a territorial agent in rural communities.

This new online form makes it easier for Yukoners to keep their health care information up to date without having to phone or visit an office. By offering secure, online options like this, we are improving access to services.

Minister of Health and Social Service Brad Cathers

We are committed to supporting consistent bilingual services in priority areas like health care. By making it easier for Yukoners to identify French as their preferred language on their health care card, we are taking another step toward improving access to timely bilingual services in the moments that matter most.

Minister responsible for the French Language Services Directorate Laura Lang
