Update your health care card information

As a Yukon resident, your Yukon health care card confirms you’re eligible to receive insured health care services in the Yukon. 

Always keep your card with you. You must present it whenever you access health care services.

Update your health care card information

Up-to-date information helps:

  • keep your health care coverage active; and
  • avoid delays with your card.

Update your information if anything has changed, including your:

  • first or last name;
  • gender;
  • physical or mailing address;
  • phone number; and
  • email address.

You can choose to add your First Nation status number.

Preferred language of care

You can choose French as your preferred language of care. Once we update your information, your new card will display an “FR” identifier. We collect this information to help plan health care services.

You can use the following characters in your name on your card:

  • À Á Â Ã Ä Ç È É Ê Ë Ì Í Î Ï Ñ Ò Ó Ô Õ Ö Ù Ú Û Ü Ý
  • à á â ã ä ç è é ê ë ì í î ï ñ ò ó ô õ ö ù ú û ü ý

Dispose of your old card

Once you receive your new card, you can safely dispose of your old card by:

  • cutting it up; and
  • throwing it away.

Renewal

We'll automatically reissue your health care card every 5 years.

If you've lost your card or did not receive your new card
