Quel est le but de la consultation?
  • The Government of Yukon is reviewing the Yukon Nominee Program to see if it meets Yukon’s labour market needs and works well.
  • The Yukon Nominee Program helps Yukon employers hire or retain foreign nationals when qualified Canadians or permanent residents are not available to fill positions.
  • The review will look at how the program can better support employers and workers while staying fair, clear and transparent.
  • The Government of Yukon wants to hear from Yukon residents, Yukon employers and foreign nationals with recent experience in the Yukon Nominee Program.
  • The feedback will help find ways to improve the program, strengthen transparency, better align the program with Yukon labour market needs, and improve government communications.

À quoi serviront les commentaires recueillis?

The feedback will help the Government of Yukon identify opportunities to improve the Yukon Nominee Program and better communicate how the program works.

The Yukon Bureau of Statistics will analyze the survey responses, and the findings will be summarized in a What we heard report.

The findings will inform recommendations for future changes to the Yukon Nominee Program. Program changes are expected to begin in 2027.

The Government of Yukon will not be able to make every change suggested. Feedback will be considered alongside:

  • program goals;
  • labour market needs;
  • operational requirements; and
  • the Government of Yukon’s responsibilities within Canada’s immigration system.
Où voir les résultats?

A What we heard report will be published on Yukon.ca. The report is expected to be available in winter 2026–27.
