Travel advisories
The North Klondike Highway is closed from Pelly Crossing to Stewart Crossing due to fire activity (Wrong Lake Fire MA-005 and MA-006).
A 24-hour pilot car is in place to help move traffic when it is safe. It is recommended to avoid travelling in this area if possible. With the fire remaining active and unpredictable, pilot service may end without notice.
If you are travelling through this area, please plan to be self-sufficient with food, fuel and water. Expect long wait times and priority for emergency response vehicles. The Top of the World Highway through Alaska is an option for a detour.
Always check Yukon511 before travelling. For highways within British Columbia, please check DriveBC before travelling.
