Whitehorse Correctional Centre needs people to provide First Nations programming.

Who can provide programming?

We are looking for people interested in sharing their expertise in:

  • traditional teachings;
  • First Nations spirituality;
  • crafts and art;
  • ceremonies; and
  • other First Nations programming.

Where can you provide First Nations programming?

You can provide First Nations programming to:

  • inmates at Whitehorse Correctional Centre; and
  • clients at the Justice Wellness Centre.

Will you get paid to provide programming?

Talk with us to find out which programming services we pay for.

What you need to know about security

Volunteers must:

  • do a security check before starting at the correctional centre; and
  • follow all rules and security protocols at the correctional centre.
