To help achieve this, they collectively appointed an independent panel.  The independent panel hosted a nine-month public engagement process.

Input was collected through regional online open houses, focus groups, a toll-free line, over 90+ meetings, two surveys, written submissions, a two-day session with elders, and more.

The Government of Yukon tabled Bill No. 13, the Missing Persons Act, on October 3, 2017 – which will enhance the RCMP’s ability to investigate missing persons cases in the territory.

Time is of the essence when a loved one is missing. The RCMP are currently limited in their ability to investigate reports of missing persons when there is no evidence of criminal activity.

Missing persons legislation could allow the RCMP to more quickly and efficiently take on missing persons investigations.

To support building a healthy financial future, the Yukon government assembled an independent Financial Advisory Panel to provide the government with options for future financial planning.

Starting Tuesday, September 12, these draft options will be shared with Yukoners. You are invited to participate in the discussion about the pros, cons, and considerations of pursuing the various options.

We wanted to know your input on two general issues: the ability of a park owner to evict mobile home owners without cause, and whether there should be controls on how the mobile home park owner can raise pad rents.
