Get a health inspection of a new daycare or day home

If you are opening a new daycare or day home you need to get a health and safety inspection.

How to apply

1. Complete an application for health approval.
2. Submit the completed form
   In person: #2 Hospital Road in Whitehorse. Our office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

3. Once we receive your application, we will book a pre-opening inspection.
4. During our inspection we will identify any health and safety issues.
5. You must correct these issues before receiving approval to operate.
6. Once you receive approval to operate, you may operate your daycare or day home.

We conduct routine unscheduled visits to assess compliance with health requirements.
