Forms Designer

Job type: Full-time term position to July 28, 2026
Hours per week: 75
Days off: Saturday and Sunday
Salary: $71,322 to $82,549

Working with department clients

In this position you'll work with departments to design and publish PDF and online forms.

You'll leverage your client service skills as you:

  • learn about each client's business objectives;

  • communicate and demonstrate the government's best practices and standards;

  • capture client needs in the design; and

  • strike a balance to ensure they're satisfied with the final product.

Organization

Organization skills are also important to this role. 

You'll be juggling working with multiple clients on multiple projects that are in different stages of development. 

You'll also maintain the forms repository and websites and ensure their integrity.

Supporting the design unit

Working with the design unit you'll also support other project work. This will include things like designing, updating and correcting files as needed.

Creativity and problem solving

Creativity and problem-solving skills will come into play as you work with clients to:

  • develop ideas to improve the graphic appearance of forms;

  • identify ways to modernize the form and streamline the user journey;

  • explore new solutions to address common problems; and

  • ensure the final product meets the government's standards.

Meeting the government's standards

As a forms designer you're responsible for ensuring forms meet the government's standards. Of particular note are the following standards.

Service Delivery Manager

Salary: $85,225 to $98,818

About the Service Delivery Manager role

Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) are key to any digital project's success. As an SDM you'd be filling an important role that gets project teams from an idea to a digital service that can be launched to the public. 

SDMs plan, budget and execute the strategic roadmap for the digital service. They provide a comprehensive and compelling vision for the digital service and its evolution. 

In this role you'll support and collaborate with department project teams. You'll play a pivotal role as you partner with them to roll out new public-facing digital services.

After a digital service launch you'll continue to work with the project team and support them to improve the service over time. This includes assisting them to interpret analytics and finding solutions to issues reported through user feedback.
