Who can apply?
You must meet all of the following requirements. Detailed terms and conditions are on the application form.
- Have a thermostat model that is listed on Yukon Energy’s Peak Smart model list;
- Show proof of enrollment in the Peak Smart Home program – visit the rebate webpage for details on how to enroll and save your proof of enrollment;
- Apply for the rebate within 1 year of purchasing your thermostat.
- The rebate is not available for purchases made before December 4, 2024.
This rebate is unavailable in the following communities, as they are not connected to the main Yukon power grid:
- Beaver Creek;
- Burwash Landing;
- Destruction Bay;
- Old Crow;
- Swift River;
- Upper Liard; and
- Watson Lake.
Rebate amount
- 75 per cent of purchase and installation costs, up to $750 per home.

Online
To apply online, you’ll need to:
- Create an account on the Good Energy rebates website.
- Add details about your home.
- Enroll in the Peak Smart Home program with your eligible devices, saving proof of enrollment for your rebate application.
- Upload receipts and invoices dated within 1 year of your rebate application.
You'll receive a rebate by cheque or e-transfer (Sign up for direct deposit payments) within 12 weeks.
Who can apply?
- Your hot water tank controller model must be listed on Yukon Energy’s Peak Smart model list.

- The rebate is not available for purchases made before December 4, 2024.

The Smart Thermostat rebate is designed for Yukoners whose homes are ineligible for participation in Peak Smart Home, like homes with fossil-fuel-based heating. Smart thermostats do not require enrollment in the Peak Smart Home program but qualify for rebates if their model is eligible.
