We’ve again had the privilege of collaborating with the Ontario Digital Service, Apolitical and other Canadian jurisdictions to develop training to build digital capacity and skills in the public service.

A series of free Digital 201 micro-courses begins on January 19, 2021.

These courses build on the success of the Digital 101 training that reached over 5,400 public servants across Canada. Find out about Digital 101 training.

In the Digital 201 micro-courses you’ll learn:

  • how to develop a digital culture in your department or organization;
  • the essentials of how to be user-centred; and
  • about your role in influencing culture change in the public service.

Who should take this training?

We encourage all Yukon public servants to take this training. This includes our Government of Yukon colleagues and municipal and First Nations government employees.

How to register

The registration deadline is January 18, 2021.

  1. Go to the course page on Apolitical website.
  2. Complete the registration form.
  3. You’ll be prompted to register with Apolitical if you are not already registered. This is free.
  4. You’ll get an email to confirm your registration.

How the course works

Starting January 19, you’ll get an email every Tuesday and Thursday for 4 weeks. This will include videos, case studies and interactive activities. You’ll have an opportunity to collect badges and earn a certificate once you’ve completed the training.

Lessons are delivered in “bite sized chunks” that can be consumed in as little as 10 minutes per week. There are also 2 study groups led by digital experts to supplement the training.

Participants can also join the Slack channel to connect with other participants across Canada.
