Learn responsible hunting practices, Yukon hunting laws, firearm safety and how to identify wildlife through hunter education and ethics development.

Yukon hunters born after April 1, 1987, must complete this course to get a hunting licence. This free course will help you improve your hunting skills.

You must complete the online portion of the course before registering for the classroom session.

Canada Council for the Arts is offering 15 minute on-on-one speed consultations with program officers from Creating, Knowing and Sharing: The Arts and Cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples and Explore and Create.

Come out to learn about Yukon government funding opportunities for Yukon storytellers, meet a representative from Storytellers of Canada and enjoy a free performance by Ivan Coyote.

Who: storytellers of all levels and fans of the art form

When: Wednesday, February 25 at 6 pm

Ivan Coyote is a writer and storyteller, the author of thirteen books, the creator of four films, three albums, and an international touring performer.  In 2017 Ivan was given an honorary PHD from Simon Fraser University. Ivan's 13th book, Care Of, was released in June 2021 by McClelland and Stewart.

The Arts Unit administers ten funding programs supporting Yukon artists and cultural organizations in literature, visual arts, and the performing arts.

The Destination Development Unit administers three funding programs to support the development and promotion of tourism experiences in the territory.
