What is the Housing Action Plan for Yukon?
In 2015, we released the Housing Action Plan for Yukon. It provides strategic direction for organizations that contribute to the housing landscape including:
- governments;
- non-government organizations; and
- private sector.

Next steps
Going forward we'll continue our work with the Housing Action Plan Implementation Committee and the housing sector to achieve a more resilient network of housing providers and better housing outcomes for all Yukoners.
We'll publish a final Housing Action Plan report in the fall of 2025. We'll hold discussions with our housing partners on the next steps for the Yukon’s collective strategic planning approach for housing.
Yukon Housing Corporation has been integrating the 2017 National Housing Strategy's funding and targets into our plan's goals and actions. To achieve this, we've been working with:
- the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation; and
- Yukon housing partners.
To complete our requirements under the National Housing Strategy, we developed a 3-year action plan with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
