Public art competitions
We promote the appreciation of visual arts in Yukon by putting artwork in public spaces. We run art competitions for public buildings, parks and other spaces. These opportunities will be posted below as they open.
To be notified when a new competition is posted, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or phone the visual arts project coordinator: 867-667-5941.
Past competition: 2022–23 Tourism Banners
The 2022–23 Tourism Banners call for proposals is now closed.
About the project
The Department of Tourism and Culture invites Yukon artists to submit proposals of original artwork designs. These designs will appear on the 2022–23 Tourism Banners.
Since 2018, the Tourism Banner program has shared many ways in which Yukon has captured the hearts of artists. The depictions welcome visitors with vibrant energy and unique northern imagery. Starting in spring of 2022, the next set of Tourism Banners will offer a fresh take on Yukon’s charm. They will be up for 2 years.
If you have questions about this project or would like to receive the submission form and guidelines, email email@example.com or phone 867-332-6543.
The deadline for submissions is 4:30 p.m. on August 2, 2021.
The current Tourism Banners were announced in 2020. Read about the 2020 designs.
