Attend a mental health support group

Caring for someone with a mental illness can be a difficult thing. It can be confusing, frustrating, and frightening.

The support of your peers can help you learn more about mental illness. It can also show you how you can support your loved one and care for yourself.

The family support group is a safe space. Conversations in the group are confidential and non-judgemental. You can find information, share stories and hear from others with lived experience. Experts often join the group to provide information on topics like self-care and navigating the legal system.

We are not alone in this path. We can build community and both give and receive support each time we attend.
