The Community stream of Build Communities Strong Fund (BCSF) provides stable and predictable funding to Yukon's 23 Ultimate Recipients including:
- 8 municipalities;
- 14 Yukon First Nations; and
- the Government of Yukon on behalf of unincorporated Yukon communities.
The funding allows local communities to make strategic investments in essential infrastructure like:
- roads and bridges;
- public transit;
- drinking water and wastewater infrastructure; and
- recreational facilities.
You can apply if you're a:
- municipality; or
- First Nation.
This funding is administered through Funding Agreements between Government of Yukon and each Ultimate Recipient. This funding is not accessible to the public. Recipients can pool, bank and borrow against this funding. This provides significant financial flexibility.
