A personal property lien allows borrowers to use personal property, something other than land, as security against a loan. 

You can register items such as vehicles, household goods, machinery and aircraft as liens.

All Yukon personal property registry transactions are done on the Atlantic Canada On-Line (ACOL) Personal Property Registry System.

Register your lien through a professional

  1. Contact a business lawyer or value-added service provider to register your lien.
  2. They will register your lien through ACOL.

Register your own lien

  1. Visit the Atlantic Canada On-Line (ACOL) Personal Property Registry System.
  2. Register for an ACOL account by following the instructions on their website.
