Keno Hill silver district mining: licensing documents

The Keno Hill silver district is a silver-lead-zinc property located 50 kilometres northeast of Mayo and 3 kilometres east of Keno. It's located on the Traditional Territory of the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun. The project has been in operation since 2009.

The district has a long history of mining and was once home to United Keno Hill Mines, one of Canada’s largest silver producers. The current Keno Hill mining project is separate from historic mining operations. It is not linked to ongoing care and maintenance, and closure activities in the district.

For information on the status of the site or to access licensing documents, email the Mineral Resources Branch at emr-qml@yukon.ca.
